It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allie Mae Mattingly of Lebanon, Kentucky, who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Thompson and Effie Mae Ruley Thompson; her grandson Jordan Mattingly; and her brothers, Lawrence and David Martin Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Mattingly; her daughters, Lynette Ruebens (Jeff) of Frankfort, Sherry Phillips (Steven) of Grayson and Sheila Childers (Donnie Stirneman) of Louisville; her grandchildren, Logan Ruebens, Jennah Ruebens, Chelsea Sapp (Chris), LeeAnn Childers, Bryan Phillips, Evan Phillips and Lindsey Phillips; her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Aiden Mattingly, Briley and Colton Sapp; and her siblings, Edith Miles of LaGrange, Pat Gottschalk (Clay) of Paducah, Mary Margaret Mattingly of Loretto, Celestine Kirchhoff (Fred) of Frankfort, Karen Hornbaker (Lowell) of Hutchinson, Theresa Woods (Glenn) of Pleasureville, John Thompson (Nadine) of Lawrenceburg, Terry Thompson (Dina) of Saint Francis, Dennis Thompson (Claire) of Plano, TX, Joe Thompson of Lexington and Maurice Thompson (Maggie) of Eastern Kentucky. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer was held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Augustine Catholic Church (235 S Spalding Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033).
