He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert S. Spalding and Mary Catherine Spalding; and his siblings, Emma Brown Abell, Virginia Raley, Dorothy, Mary Catherine, Cordelia, Edward, Francis, Benny, Carl and Mike Spalding.
He is survived by: his brother George D. Spalding Sr. of Louisville; and his sister-in-law Bootsy Spalding. He is also survived by 43 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, or for Mass intentions.
