He was predeceased by: his parents, Damien Benningfield and Estelle Benningfield (Raikes); and his siblings, Lois Williams, Regina Buckman, Colleen Benningfield, Bernard Benningfield and Greg Benningfield.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Benningfield; his children, James Eric Benningfield of Winchester, Stephanie Hardesty (Joe) of Lexington and Brian Benningfield (Natalie) of Louisville; and his siblings, Damien Benningfield (Debbie), Joe Benningfield, Lynn Benningfield (Joyce), Paula Miles and Alice Januski. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers-in-law, and 5 sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bosley Funeral Home (246 S Proctor Knott Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033). A prayer will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mary Catholic Church (3265 State Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY 40033).
