He was predeceased by: his daughter Christen Grimes; his parents, Leonard Grimes and Margaret Jeffries Grimes; his siblings, Janice Grimes, Sandra Gribbins and Larry Leonard Grimes; and his nephew Jason Wayne.
He is survived by: his children, Crystal Grimes of Louisville, Christy Tacey (Travis) of Holy Cross, Christa Grimes of Lebanon and Brendon Shively of Saint Mary's; his siblings, David Grimes (Libby) of Lebanon and Michelle Baker (Michael) of Brandenburg; and his pets, Jumper and Darrell. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
