He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Earl and Lena Wardrip Powell; his sons, John Lewis Powell and Charles Everett Powell; his stepchildren, Robert Osbourn and Cynthia Estes; his stepgrandsons, Wes Estes and Chris Estes; and his brother Paul Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Powell; his daughter Joyce Marie Noah (Bruce); his grandsons, J. T., Charles (Zoe) and Austin Noah; his stepchildren, Joseph Osbourn, Sara Locklin (Tim), Lisa Blomeyer (Keith) and Chuck Osbourn (Becki); his stepgrandchildren, Angela Alford (Doug), Robert Osbourn, Rosemary Osbourn, Caroline Osbourn, Joseph Osbourn, Logan Osbourn (Nyki), Morgan Branham (Todd), Cory Leake (Shelly), Tyler Russell (Sara), Madison McGoldrick (Ben), Bailey Osbourn and Chase Osbourn; and his brother Thomas J. Powell. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Bosley Funeral Home (246 S Proctor Knott Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
