He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Merriell Mattingly. He is survived by: his mother Opal Thompson Mattingly; his sons, BJ Mattingly (Missy) of Lebanon and Brandon Mattingly of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Luke Mattingly, Brianna Mattingly and Kyleigh Mattingly; and his siblings, Rodney Mattingly (Kathy) of Lebanon, Wayne Mattingly (Ann) of Versailles, Alan Mattingly (Sandy) of Louisville, Joann Mattingly of Louisville and Kay Harmon of Bardstown.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bosley Funeral Home (246 S Proctor Knott Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (235 S Spalding Ave, Lebanon, KY 40033).
