She was predeceased by: her father Robert Tucker; her sons, Larry and Steven Akridge; her granddaughter Mary Hazelwood; and her great grandchild Savannah Crawford.

She is survived by: her husband James Wesley Akridge; her sons, John (Valarie), Keith (Peggy), Bruce (Tammy), Michael (Anne) and David (Kimberly); and her daughter-in-law Vanda Akridge. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
