He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Rivas and Aracelia Trevino Rivas; his wife Ora Louise Gibson Rivas; and his brother Willie Rivas. He is survived by: his children, David Rivas (Melissa) of Tar Hill and Monique Hayes (Clint) of Caneyville; and his grandson Jacob Rivas. He is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
