He was predeceased by: his parents, William Beckham "Beck" Brewer and Christine "DeSpain" Brewer; his children, Billy Joe Morgan, Larry Wendell Brewer, Jr. and Rebecca J. Burks; his granddaughters, Sarah Klausing and Kayla Burks; and his brothers, William Beckham Brewer, Jr., Dean Stead, George Edward "Ed" Brewer, Harlan Jackson "Jackie" Brewer and Bernard Ray "Bernie" Brewer.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Louise Brewer; his children, Michelle R. Brewer Carter, Roger Burks, Edward Burks (Linda) and Ashley Gillenwater (Eric); his grandchildren, Misti Decker, Kristen Lewis, Andrew Buckles, Chancy Burks, Brandon Brewer, Erika Brewer, Courtney Smith and Derrick Brewer; and his brother Donald Brewer. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, and other dear family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the same location.
