It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Thomas Morrison of Leitchfield, Kentucky, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Marion had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Marion may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Morrison (Haycraft); his son Ronald Morrison; his son-in-law G. L. Hayes; his sister Rena Dennison; his father Basil Morrison; and his grandmother Belle Lynch Morrison.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Hayes, Nancy Haycraft (Darrell) and John Morrison; and his grandson Briar Morrison. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42755). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
