He is survived by: his mother Betty Jo Akers VanMeter; his wife Ora VanMeter; his children, Jeremy (Karen), Aaron (Christina), Colton (Talana), Mandy Belzer (Scott) and Aleisha Jaggers; his grandchildren, Jeren, Sutten, Ledger, Lennon, Teagan, Maylee, Cohen, Charlie, Dani, Anna and Lukas; his siblings, Jimmy, Ricky (Rita), Chippy (Tammy), Josh (Alexis), Tammy Jo VanMeter and Robin Grant; and his brothers-in-law, Nick Bradley, Nathan Ramsey, Bobby Spear and Keith Spear.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
