It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ottis Ervin LaRue of Leitchfield, Kentucky, born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, who passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul LaRue and Ilene Tabb LaRue; his wife Nancy Strange LaRue; his child Shannon D. LaRue; his brother Gilbert LaRue; his granddaughter Ericka LaRue; and his nephew Tim LaRue.
He is survived by : his stepchildren, Eric LaRue (Paige), Chad LaRue (Jennifer) and Shanda LaRue Galey (Dave); his stepgranddaughters, Jana LaRue and Natalie LaRue; and his brother Paul Randall LaRue.
The family requests that expression of sympathies be made through contributions to The Grove Baptist Church, which has played a central role in Ottis's and the LaRue family's history, or Hosparus Health who provided Ottis with incredible kindness during his end-of-life care.
