With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Paulean Newton of Leitchfield, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Paulean left this world on April 28, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Saltsman and Della Mae Harp Saltsman; her husband Charlie Newton; her sons, Jimmy, Coy and Glenn Newton; and her sisters, Dolly Wilson, Anna Haycrat, Jewell West, Sarah Newton and Hazel Saltsman.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Watson (Ott), Jerry Newton (Debbie), Lewis Newton (Nellie), Hilda Decker (Roscoe) and Judy Meredith (Mendell); and her brother James Saltsman. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Leitchfield Funeral Home (2373 Elizabethtown Rd, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Saltsman Cemetery.
