Raymond Stevenson Obituary

Raymond R. Stevenson, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (June 3, 2013) at his home.

He was born on November 3, 1922 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Mitchell and Daisy Johnson Stevenson.

He was retired from American Standard and a retired painter, An Army World War II veteran, who enjoyed fishing and music. He was General Baptist and was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Stevenson, two daughters, Rita Elmore of Savannah GA and RoJeanna Pank of Greensburg, IN, three sons, Jerry of California, Danny and Joe Stevenson both of Louisville, KY, a step-son, J. R. Oller of Elizabethtown, KY, nine grandchildren, Brad, James, Jessie, Melissa, Adam, Nicole, Daniele, Brandon and Lauren and several great grandchildren, one brother, Elza Stevenson of Mt. Washington KY, two sisters, Marie Elmore of Leitchfield and May Decker of Indiana.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Gertrude Blanton, Bea Logsdon, Letha Shartzer and Dennis and Rev Clayton Stevenson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (June 6, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros Tim Gage, Rudd Kerr and Wilford Logsdon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
