He is survived by: his sons, Shannon Shartzer (Jessica) of Leitchfield and Bailey Cannon of Leitchfield; his grandchildren, Chloe and Cannon Shartzer; his siblings, Christine Grimstead (George), Janet O'Riley (Pat), Doug Shartzer (Shirley), Lottie Dowell (Frankie), Howard Shartzer (Steffanie), Bruce Shartzer (Donna), Wanda Dowell (Bradley), Timmy Shartzer (Tammy), Iva Marie Williams (Glenn) and Ronnie Shartzer; and his close friend Vickie Hulsman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42755). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
