He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy "Chatty" Coursey and Alma Delk Coursey. He is survived by : his wife Brenda Coursey; his daughter Rebecca Ferguson (Daniel) of Russellville; his stepdaughter Shelley Westray (Kelly) of Lexington; his grandsons, Derek Ferguson of Russellville, Kaleb Ferguson (Onahka) of Russellville and Seth Ferguson (Anna) of Russellville; his great grandchild Maddox Ferguson of Russellville; and his siblings, Wendell Coursey (Sue), Jimmy Ray Coursey of Lewisburg, James "Curly" Coursey of Lewisburg, Chris Coursey of Lewisburg, Diane Porter (Rex) and Tammy Sue Spivey of Lewisburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
