He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Goodwin and Mary Jane Harlan Goodwin; his wife Karen Lynn Kirby Goodwin; his son Sammy Dewayne Goodwin; and his siblings, James Edward Goodwin, Linda Erline Pruitt and Richard Lynn Goodwin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Roberts (Charles) of Hadley, KY and Bennie Dean Goodwin (Natlie Jean) of Lewisburg, KY; his stepson Ryan Blake Kirby (Deborah Anne) of Lewisburg, KY; his great grandchild Jason Wade Kirby of Beechmont, KY; and his pets, Winnie, Peanut and Jupiter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Zion Cemetery.
