He was predeceased by : his former life partner Hermine Fruhauf Dapson; his daughter Sylvia Atkinson (Dan); his grandson Scotty Dapson; his siblings, Peggy Smith, Thomas Dapson, Mervyn Dapson and Doris Dapson; and his parents, George Dapson and Winifred Dapson.

He is survived by : his spouse Meredith Dapson; his sons, Pete Dapson, Jeff Dapson (Robin) and Eric Dapson (Robbie); his grandchildren, Chris Dapson, Kelly Dapson, April Dapson, John Watts and Joshua Watts; and his great grandchildren, Reese Janine Burgert, Connor Watts and Emersyn Watts.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lexington Cemetery.
