We announce the death of Anna Lou Smith Blair of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 90. Anna Lou will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Blair; her parents, Dee Smith and Ethel Smith; and her siblings, James Richmond, John Welch, William Douglas, Tommy Harris, Roy Kenon Smith and Lillie Moss Hale.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Tharp (Jim) and Tammy Kmetz (Tom); her grandchildren, Jen (Bryan), Jordan (Christina), Blair (Misha), Christian (Katrina) and Lillie (Nick); her sister Mary Jo Blair; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Sturgill Bryant (Jack) and Tony Blair (Mary Carolyn). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Porter Memorial Baptist Church Quilters, 4300 Nicholasville Road, Lexington, KY 40515, for mission projects.
