She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Heyman and Vivian Vermeers; her husband James R. Rooney; her brother Bruce Heyman; and her grandson Colin Rooney.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Rooney of Annapolis and Alec Rooney of Bedford; and her grandchildren, Katherine Mandzak, Benjamin Florsheim, Nathan Florsheim and Samuel Florsheim. She is also survived by several cousins and nephews.
