She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Frank Brown and Helen Brown (Rowe). She is survived by: her sons, Chris Sparks, Joshua Sparks (Stephanie) and Sam Cox; her granddaughter Brighton; and her siblings, Sharon Edwards (Craig) and Scott Brown (Jessica). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She gave to many causes, among them Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and the American Cancer Society.
