He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruth; his brother Ronald; and his parents, Charles Davis and Sudie Burns Davis. He is survived by: his family Jerrye; his children, Pamela, Susan (Kevin), Charlsa (John), Chuck (Nancy) and Chris (Nora); his stepsons, Jason (Maria) and Ben; his grandchildren, Debbie, Stephanie, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Brad and Blake; his stepgrandchildren, Ollie and Theo; and his nieces, Dianne Knose and Gena Baldwin. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

If so inclined, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer's research which can be made to the Sanders Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky.
