Cara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vere Richards and Virginia May Tyler (Richards). She is survived by: her son Dr. York Dobyns (Henry); her daughter-in-law Jacquelyn Edmiston-Dobyns; her nephews, T. O. and Jamie Sterret; and her niece Vickie Crane.
She was hit hard with the COVID-19 lockdowns, being someone who thrived on social interaction but easily grew lonely.
Her caregivers and fellow residents appreciated her presence, enjoying her friendly conversations and optimistic attitude even as her intellect deteriorated from Alzheimer's disease.
