She was predeceased by : her parents, William Barber and Lillie Barber; her brother George Q. Barber; and her uncle James P. Wilson. She is survived by : her children, Robert Nelson Thacker Jr. (Sondra), Charlotte Thacker, Denise Watkins, Carrie Blackburn and Chantelle Shelton Fugate (Chris); and her siblings, Deborah Fisher (Wayne), Matthew, William Barber and Lowell Givens. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a loving extended family.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Mt Gilead Baptist Church (3501 Jacks Creek Pike, Lexington, KY 40515).
