He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Auvenshine and Elmer Auvenshine (Lowe); and his grandson John Salsman IV. He is survived by: his wife Alice Auvenshine (Adams); his children, Stephen Auvenshine (Sarah) of Paris and Jennifer Salsman (John); his grandchildren, Katelyn Edgar (Jacob) of Fredericksburg, VA, Christopher Auvenshine (Lauren) of Paris and Victoria Caldwell (Evan); his great grandchildren, Colton, Lily Kate, Caden, Elliott, Virginia and Lucy; and his sister Muriel Woolard (Bob) of Poplar Bluff, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, a cause close to Dwight's heart.
