He is survived by: his niece Cheryl Carter; his wife Sharon Green Lawson; his children, Keisha Lawson and Charles "Chris" Lawson; his daughter-in-law Sharay Lawson; his grandsons, Avery Lawson and Weston Lawson; his sister Willie "Bill" Carter; his nieces, Glynise Lipscomb (Terry), Billie Frances Goldsmith (Gooch), Yvonne Beatty (Derek, Sr.) and Sonia Smith; his nephew Dwayne Lawson; his sisters-in-law, Trish White, Terrye Catlett (Donald), Angela Green Hampton and Kimberly Jackson; Willie Carter.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (1825 Russell Cave Rd, Lexington, KY 40505-1620). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
