We announce the death of Claire Mary Whipple in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 85. Claire will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Justin LeBlanc and Margaret LeBlanc; her husband Dr. Robert "Bobby" Lafayette Whipple III; and her siblings, Ruby, Eulalie, Julius and Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Rob Whipple (Claudia), Justin Whipple (Tracy) and Mary Claire Wickliffe (Chad Hamlin); and her grandchildren, Liam, Amelia, Holden, Hadley, Hayden, Anna, Madelyn, Makenzie Hamlin and Peyton Hamlin. She is also survived by many extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choosing or that acts of kindness be performed in Claire's memory .... or simply enjoy a Bloody Mary in her honor!
