He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Lunceford and Nora P. Lunceford; his former wife Wilma Moody; and his siblings, Andrew Lunceford, Ellis Lunceford (late Charlene), Adin Lunceford, Larie Lunceford and Ruby Lunceford.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy K. Bowlin; his daughters, Teresa Lunceford Barnes (Billy) of Richmond and Kathy Lunceford Reece (James David) of Richmond; his granddaughters, Christy Barnes Gabbard (Eric) and Tracy Barnes; his great grandchildren, Tyler Barrett (Miranda), Kelsie Abshear (Tyler) and Chase Gabbard; his great great grandchildren, Abigail S. Barrett (Amanda Jennings), Nora Jo Abshear and Kinley Anglin; his sisters, Stella Lybrook (Richard) and Dessie True (Bill); his sisters-in-law, Sue Lunceford and Anna Lunceford; and his daughters, Pat Wheeler of Lexington and Janet Ritchey of Lexington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
