He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Boone Phillips and Nancy Ann "Nannie" Sargent Phillips; and his siblings, Don Phillips, Justin Phillips, Jean Phillips, Wanda Nickell, Anita Tucker and Debbie Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Jean Kissinger Phillips; his daughters, Terina Phillips Rice (Jim) of Marion, Sonya Phillips Gregory (Rodney) of Morehead, Drema Phillips Jordan (Mark) of Mt. Sterling and Debra Phillips of Clearfield; and his grandchildren, Leslie Sherlin (Jamie), Mark Anthony Jordan II, Rachael Crouch (Justin), Lakan Arnold (Grant) and Dreama Rice (Seth). He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
