He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Ray Phillips and Inez Wharton Phillips; his wife Peggy Elizabeth Kennedy Phillips; and his granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth Neal and Madison Ivey Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Moreno (Raul), Diane Coker and David Phillips Jr. (Trish); his granddaughters, Amanda, Alexandra (Armando) and Marisa (Anthony); and his great grandchildren, Marlee, Noah and Isabel.
