Dixie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Dixie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Dixie is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Dixie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garla Long and Nellie Long; her husband William R. Nickoson; and her grandson William Leighton Bailey. She is survived by: her children, Michael Nickoson (Bridgett), Richard Lee Nickoson (Lee), Carol Bailey (Kenny), Timothy Nickoson (Rhonda), Judy Hiler (John) and Garla House. She is also survived by several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Episcopal Church-Resurrection (3220 Lexington Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
