She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest "Rube" Johnson and Lillie Jones Hood (Malachi); and her siblings, Debra J. Hood, William Dower and Marvin Hood.

She is survived by: her siblings, Marvella Hood, Shirley Hood, Barbara Jean Harris, Ralph Hood (Blanche) and Robert Hood; and her sisters-in-law, Vivian Baker Hood and Jill Dower.
