It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Arthur Roberts Jr. (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Francis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Francis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Winganeek Farm; his wife Betty Cramer Roberts; and his daughter Melissa Roberts Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Francis Arthur Roberts III (Tri) and Molly Sparks DePerna (Roberts); and his sister Priscilla Roberts Fallon. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and three nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass or to an animal shelter of your choice.
