He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie E. Witten and Zola Witten (Ridge); his son Karl Witten; and his siblings, Vernie E. Witten, Cleora McReynolds and Beula Pollard.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne; his sons, Mark Witten (Chris) of Tucson, AZ and Joe Witten (Dana) of Emporia; his daughter-in-law Linda Witten of Emporia; his grandchildren, Stacy Tate (Brian) of Seattle, WA, Josh Witten of Emporia, Kelley Nagy (J. J.) of Emporia, Josie Kindhart (Stefan) of Olathe, Blaze Witten (Kelsey) of Olathe and Brandon Witten (Maggie) of Tucson, AZ.; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abigail, Ian Tate, Clara, Laura Kindhart and Fenix Witten.
