He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Fields and Palina Ratliff Fields; his wife Barbara Sue Salley Fields; his children, Ruth Ann Fields and Brian Fields (Laura) of Nicholasville, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Bethany Lynn Anderson (Rio), Amber Grace Fields, Miranda Faith Fields, Micah Ryan Fields and Nicholas Lee Fields; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Evelyn Anderson and Ivy Belle Anderson; and his siblings, Arnold, Eldon, Charles, Johnny, Ralph, Gerald, Virginia, Louella and Hazel.

He is survived by: his brothers, Ellis Fields and Fred Fields. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
