He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hoyt and Ona Inez McGaha Boring; his sister Helen Gannon; and his son-in-law Philip Tackett. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bullock Boring; his children, Chris Creech (Lynn) of Georgetown, Benjamin Boring (Cassandra) of Georgetown, Christina Creech-Tackett of Lexington and Kim White (Mike) of Maryville, TN.; his grandchildren, Katie Creech-Peak (Josh), Chelsea Creech, Garrett Boring, Joseph Boring and Trevor White; and his great grandchild Mia White.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
