He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James T. Ramsey and Kathleen Ramsey. He is survived by: his son Jimmy; his grandson James Abel; his great grandchild Baby Cad; his wife Ginny Davis Ramsey; his daughter Jena; his grandchildren, Darian and Aleks; his siblings, Josie Stegmann (Glenn), Steve, David (Cora), Bob (Ann), John (Lisa), Karen and Jean; Holly. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, in laws and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 7:00 PM and from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cathedral of Christ the King (299 Colony Blvd, Lexington, KY 40502).
Jim loved beauty, but loved people more, so if you wish to make a donation or remembrance in his name, he preferred that instead of flowers, a donation be made to the Winter Emergency Housing Fund of the Catholic Action Center to keep our homeless from dying alone on the streets this winter.
