With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Alice Barbee of Lexington, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Taft Solomon and Bess Alice Peters. She is survived by: her husband Philip Barbee; her children, Alicia Joy, Philip Christopher, Jeffrey Lewis and Jennifer Ann Wilder (Allen); her grandchildren, Tyler Lewis Barbee, Russell Joseph Barbee, Thomas Allen Wilder, Ryan Nicole Barbee and Annie Elizabeth Wilder; her sister Linda Grace Burks; her pet Barbara Lee Webster of Calvert City, KY; and her family, Dr. Courtney Schnieders, Dr. Scott T. Pierce and Saint Joseph Main. She is also survived by family members, friends.
Instead of flowers, Jo Alice encouraged donations to be made to Red Bird Mission, Inc. Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program at 70 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913.
