She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Silverburg Gay Showers and William Perry Smith, Sr.; her grandfather James MelvinSilverburg, Sr.; her brother William "Billy" Silverburg; her great grandchild Landon Hayes; her nephew James "Jimmy" Fisher III; her niece Yvette Silverburg Newby; and her cousin Mary Louise "Bae" Walker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Arnetta Schooler, Nyetta Silverburg, Fannie Silverburg, Sharon Silverburg Burton, Patricia Nichols, Gwendolyn Smith, Joseph "Joe" Silverburg (Ramona), Michael Silverburg, William Perry Smith, Jr. and Eddie Darnell Smith; her cousin Lillian Silverberg; and her close friends, Anthony Johnson, Sr. and Nellie Ruth Hayes. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives.
