With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnna Woods of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Sassafras, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025 at the age of 60. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Woods and Luna Woods (Kelly); her brothers, Virgil and Charlie Woods; and her son Adam Dewayne Sparkman III.
She is survived by: her granddaughter JoAnna; her daughter Mikala Santanna Collins; her sister Gladys Woods Mason; her former husband Michael "Mike" Collins; her grandchildren, Brayden Jace, Aubree Skyee (Adam) and Lillie Ruth (Mikala); and her father-in-law Barthal Collins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local domestic violence shelter in her honor.
