With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Holbrook of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joe may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius O'Brien Holbrook and Nettie Harvey Holbrook; and his wife Martha Baker Holbrook. He is survived by: his significant other Carolyn Hedger; his children, Martha Jo Holbrook and R. Lynn Holbrook; his grandchildren, Caitlin Holbrook Chimienti and Travis Holbrook; and his great grandchildren, Lily Jean Holbrook, Atticus Jack Holbrook and Naomi Jo Chimienti.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Milward's Funeral Home (1509 Trent Blvd, Lexington, KY 40515). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
