It is with sadness that the passing of John Gary Potts of Lexington, Kentucky is shared. John Gary, born on July 21, 1945, passed away on June 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Potts and Edna France Potts; his wife Donna Fryman Potts; and his siblings, Dona Kendrick and Jorg Potts.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Debbie Thornberry (Barry) and Junior Johnson; his grandchildren, Christopher Thornberry (Anna) and Amy Thornberry; his close friend Linda Gorman; his brother Thomas Potts (Lisa); his niece Angie Potts; and his nephew Josh Potts. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
