In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nell Francis and John Edward Hoagland; and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Paula Hoagland (Hemingway); his children, Stephanie Shaver (Norm), John Jr. Hoagland (Meribeth) and Jennifer Caudill (Stephen); and his siblings, Sue, Kathy, Tammy and Tim. He is also survived by family included 8 grandchildren, and spouses, and 6 great grandbabies.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Fellowship and Lunch (1509 Trent Blvd, Lexington, KY 40515). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
