He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Nord and Ken Nord; his grandson William Walters; and his wife Carol Holzknecht Nord. He is survived by: his children, Kristen Walters (Eric) and John Nord Jr. (Amanda); and his sisters, Karen Sullivan (Randy) and Marsha Kareken (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and the six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Highlands Funeral Home (3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40205). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Saint Michael Cemetery (1300 Ellison Ave, Louisville, KY 40204).
