He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Betty Kathryn Elkins; his brother Hugh Thomas; and his son Christopher Wade. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn DeLong; his children, Audra Thomas (Eric) of Lexington and Hugh; his siblings, Henry Ronald (Jean) of Lexington, Michael Ross (Brenda) of Jasper, AL and Mary Kathryn Overbey; his brothers-in-law, Harold (Linda) of Carmichael, CA and David DeLong (Kim) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Ethan Collier, Broderick Pierce (Brody), Gaige William and Ava Kathryn Jean Thomas of Lexington; his brother-in-law Kaysen Isaac Kruger of Lexington; and his nieces and nephews, John, Amanda Scow (Duane), Ross Overbey (Ariana), Alyson Robbins (Alex), Erin Forrester (Hunter), Brendan (Hannah), Paige Torres (Ray), Brent DeLong (Kristin), Clay DeLong (Sarah), Ryan DeLong (Kim), Emily DeLong and Lauren DeLong.
