Joyce Ann Anderson Obituary
Joyce Ann Anderson, age 73, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born on June 20, 1952, in Versailles, KY, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Russell Jackson and Ruby Douglas Lear.
Joyce was a devoted homemaker whose heart and home were always open. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family and extended loved ones. Known for her deep compassion, unwavering faith, and nurturing spirit, Joyce touched countless lives and left an imprint on every soul she encountered.
She was also known for her big sense of humor and vibrant personality. Joyce had a way of bringing laughter into every room, and her joyful spirit lifted the hearts of everyone around her. Whether through a witty remark or playful teasing, she never missed a moment to make someone smile.
She is survived by her beloved children, Michael Anderson (Melinda) and Julie Cruz (Javier). Joyce's legacy continues through her four grandchildren: Rayna Bennett, Tre Anderson (Madison) Breanna Bennett (Morgan) David Hurd (Montana); and four great-grandchildren: Devin Hurd, Colsten Anderson, and Paxten Anderson, Joyann Hurd. She also leaves behind her loving siblings: Peggy Jackson, Darrell Jackson, and Marshall Jackson.
In addition to her immediate family, Joyce is lovingly remembered by a number of special grandchildren β young souls she embraced as her own, each one cherished deeply and held close to her heart. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored dearly, each one holding a special place in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Charles, her sisters Mary Hardy and Loretta Oiler, and her brothers David Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Charlie Jackson, and Russell Jackson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home β Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the same day at the funeral home.
