Leland Monroe Raleigh Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2025, at the age of 74, Leland Monroe Raleigh of Lexington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Leland Monroe leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Marvis and Vivian Fouts Raleigh; and his brother David M. Raleigh. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Raleigh (Eric Reid) of Lexington, April Curtis of Lexington and James Curtis of Lexington; his granddaughter Juliet Alexander of Lexington; and his siblings, Phillip Raleigh (Monica) of Missouri, Jonathan Raleigh (Tammy) of South Carolina, Sharon Kennedy (David) of Cumberland and Sheliah Raleigh of Cumberland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the TRI City Funeral Home (506 Holly St, Benham, KY 40807). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
