She was predeceased by : her parents, George McClain Swope and Mary Louise Taylor Swope; and her brothers, Donald Swope and George Swope. She is survived by : her siblings, Ronald J. Swope of Louisville, KY, Zaine Boyd of Lexington, KY, Jennifer Swope McCracken of Louisville, KY. and Georgetta Poyntz of Louisville, KY..

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church (485 W 4th St, Lexington, KY 40508). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the same location.
