With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Yvonne Miller Current in Lexington, Kentucky, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 94. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Ellis Ray Current Sr.; her son Ray Current, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Mindy Current; her daughter Karen Smallwood; her grandchildren, Kent Smallwood (Melody), Derek Current, Kimberly Whitt (John), Tracy Cavill (Brian), Matthew Smallwood (Miranda), Kyle Smallwood and Mitchell Smallwood; and her great grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan Whitt, Adam Current, Brenden, Taryn Cavill and Brooklyn Smallwood. She was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Milward Funeral Directors (391 Southland Dr, Lexington, KY 40503). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
