He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Minter and Coleman Minter; his siblings, Tom Minter and Collette Meadows; and his grandfather Mike.

He is survived by: his children, Christopher Michael Minter and Amanda Minter Pistner (Rich); his grandchildren, Hayden Minter, Audrey Minter, Jackson Pistner, Caroline Pistner and Mary Kate Pistner; and his wife Karen Hodel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
